Curtains are mounted utilizing a patented aluminum track system that coordinates with your enclosure and integrates visually with the existing structure.
What fabrics are utilized?
Most curtain installations employ Sunbrella marine canvas (UV-resistant, waterproof, bleach-cleanable, with fade-free warranty). Shade sails utilize SolaMesh, a heavy-duty mesh fabric also engineered for extended durability.
Do you install shade sails as well?
Yes — SolaMesh shade sails are available and can be mounted with stainless steel hardware inside your screen enclosure.
Privacy, Shade & Functionality
Will curtains deliver complete seclusion?
Yes — when properly sized, curtains block sightlines from outside your enclosure. They can also seal against walls to minimize side gaps.
Do shade sails deliver privacy?
Shade sails primarily deliver shade rather than complete seclusion — however, they can block overhead sun and discourage casual views.
Do curtains or sails block rain?
Curtains are waterproof and will divert water directly downward (not create a sealed rain barrier), while shade sails are mesh and permit some rain through but prevent water accumulation.
Can they be removed during storms?
Curtains can and should be removed or secured before high winds. Shade sails can often remain in place during everyday winds and even strong storms, but removal is recommended ahead of extreme weather events.

How do I maintain the curtains?
Sunbrella fabric is straightforward to clean with water and mild detergent. Periodic rinsing maintains their fresh appearance.

What about color and fading?
Curtain and sail fabrics are UV-resistant, but because the Gulf Coast sun is intense, some fading over many years is expected — Sunbrella and SolaMesh warranties cover degradation within their respective terms.
Will my HOA approve these?
Most screen enclosure curtain/sail installations are acceptable to HOAs, but verify local regulations since rules vary by community.
